I2C Serial EEPROM Programmed with Randomized Bits - 24FC512
This standard I2C EEPROM has been programmed with random data generated by a 3rd party webpage specializing in random numbers. 64k x 8 layout.
Each individual 24FC512 is programmed by us with a DIFFERENT source file, generated each time an order is received - for example, if you order 5 of these EEPROMs you'll get 5 individual 8-Pin DIP ICs, containing 5 different randomized data.
Why do we offer such a strange thing? Well, we are experimentors in the Microchip PIC world who love PicBASIC Pro - an excellent programming language / compiler, but not exactly known for the randomness of its RANDOM function. This is a quick way around that limitation. Use it to provide test input for your functions, noise generators, etc. We use it for turning random pixels off/on on our OLED modules, for example.
Of course, the data itself doesn't change within the 24FC512, so location {{detail_product_description}}00 will always be the same byte, {{detail_product_description}}01 will always read the same, etc for the 64k bytes within.
Orders are completed by hand; it is not automated. So a person (not a machine or online process) access the randomizer web page, downloads the resultant source, burns the EEPROM having manually inserted it into the programmer, verifies the contents, etc. It can take a while, especially for large orders. Multiple quantities can be shipped at once, saving shipping charges. Because these count as custom orders, and the contents are subject to intermediate- and end-user erasure, we can not offer a warranty. This is an industry standard part; we can not offer technical assistance on the intricacies of the I2C protocol, verify suitable voltage ranges, guarantee retention times, etc. It's just an EEPROM with random data, and we verify each one after programming.
